Bio of Spur of the Moment
Churned from the ashes of retired ska, punk and rock bands from the
area, Spur of the Moment rose like a magnificent Phoenix (or some other
town in Arizona) to become one of the best ska bands in the Lehigh
Valley. Coming from all different age groups, and from all different
lifestyles, these boys have truly made something of themselves.
One day, long ago, Nick Tatalias, Mitch Carney and T.J. Schick were
sitting in the Schick basement, listening to music and talking about the
Royal Noise Brigade (absolutely spectacular, sadly broken-up ska band
from the Valley) show that they saw the night before. Then, as though a
three-fisted ska-giant hit them in the face with its three big fists,
they thought of creating a ska band. Recruiting from the failing
marching band of William Allen High, their high school, they found horn
players in the phenomenal Jared Miller and the sensational Sam Haymon.
Jimmy Weiss, plucked straight from the drumline, was their man when it
came to the phat beats. And after a smooth switch from guitar to bass by
T.J., Pat was thrown into the mix on guitar. Spur of the Moment has been
traveling in the SchickMobile with their trusty
groupie/soundman/department head of Philosophy, Dr. Schick, and playing
to the masses ever since.
WITH OUR POWERS COMBINED, WE ARE SPUR OF THE MOMENT!!!!!!
